The Rising Stars photoshoot features four up and coming artists from the Maryland area. Johnny Vice, J Evz, Janky Tre, and MOREFORMARLY have all been making a splash in the music industry with their unique styles and flow. Tapping into new sounds have allowed the four to grow in popularity quickly on in the music industry. All artists are modeling "We're All Searching" T-Shirts, available June 12th.
Johnny Vice began releasing his music in 2016, but had massive years in 2017 & 2018 with single "Spikebelt" getting over 200k total streams and gaining him a shout out on popular podcast "No Jumper". His style of incorporating many genres of music is truly what makes him stand apart from other artists. Since, Johnny has been keeping the heat coming with new LP "Cultboy". Featuring tracks "Fireworks" and "Where We at", the LP is filled with songs of all styles, making it a well rounded masterpiece. We expect nothing less but more list toppers from him this summer.
J Evz is new the music scene, only beginning to release music less than a year ago. That has not stopped him from growing fans and plays on both Soundcloud and Spotify. Using his wide variety of song writing skills and unique rapping style, Jordan has achieved over 6k streams on single "Not The Same" in little over a month. Single "Zaha Freestyle" featuring Janky Tre, is also currently flying around soccer Instagram pages, gaining close to 5k streams in the first few weeks. With an EP in the plans for the end of June, we fully expect J Evz to continue to come into his own and grow further.
Another artist fresh on the scene, Janky Tre has been killing the Soundcloud game for close to a year. Gaining popularity with single "Stuck", Janky Tre showed his rapping style is nothing to mess with. With close to 10k streams, this is one of his first stand out hits. He has since released his first Spotify single, "Rondo". This is a fast paced, lyrical gem, showcasing the elaborate writing style of Janky. With features set for J Evz EP, as well as many songs in the works, Janky Tre is definitely on the radar of many this summer.
Closing out our Rising Stars, MOREFORMARLY, formally Ferrari Marly, has been making a name for himself over the past year. His debut EP "Regret Nomore" has gained over 20k total streams across all platforms. His melodic, alternative style makes it hard to categorize his music into one group, but his combined influences make his music stand apart. Marlys' second EP, "Mission Unreleased" is now on Spotify featuring tracks "Plans Got Ruined" and "Rari Da$hin" featuring Johnny Vice. Look for more alternative styles from Marly later this summer.
